New Office Arrival Procedures

Upon Arrival to the Office for Your Scheduled Appointment:

1.) Please call the office at (859) 441-0033 to notify our front desk team member(s) you have arrived for your appointment.

2.) Please, DO NOT ENTER the office until instructed to do so by a team member. Please return to your car until notified that a room is available. A team member will contact you to let you know when it is safe to enter.

3.) All patients will be required to wear a mask the entire time they are in the office, with the exception of when treatment is occurring.

4.) All patients will be subject to our COVID-19 pre-screening questionnaire and temperature reading prior to being taken back to a treatment room.  If any concerns arise, we will ask you to reschedule your appointment.

5.) We highly recommend using the hand sanitizer located in the waiting room, at the front desk, and in each operatory room to ensure your safety and the safety of our team members.

6.) While in the office, please maintain the recommended 6 feet of social distancing recommended by Federal guidelines. To aid you in this request we have placed markers on the floor throughout the office.

7.) Once you have been brought into a treatment room, we will ask you to complete the required pre-treatment protocols prior to your treatment beginning.

Thank you for your cooperation and patience during these times.  Please feel free to ask us any questions you may have.  We are all in this together!

Pre-Treatment Protocols

Upon entering the operatory room:

1.) You will be required to wash your hands BEFORE and AFTER your appointment and to avoid contacting your eyes, nose, or mouth while in the office. Bathrooms and operatory rooms have sinks and disinfectant soap for your use.

2.) You will be asked to remove your mask in order for our team to provide service.

3.) You will be required to rinse with mouthwash prior to beginning treatment.

4.) You will be asked to wear a pair of safety glasses for the duration of your appointment. These glasses must remain on at all times. NO EXCEPTIONS.

These glasses are sterilized after each use according to the CDC and OSHA guidelines.

5.) A rubber dam for the isolation of teeth to be treated and covering of the throat, will be applied, together with high volume suction.  We have always used rubber dams as a standard of care in the office and will continue to do so.   NO EXCEPTIONS.

Post Treatment Protocols

1.) Once treatment is finished, you will be asked to place your mask back on, wash your hands, and to maintain social distancing as you proceed to the front desk and leave the office.

2.) Your appointment times will be staggered to allow for the additional precautions we have implemented in the office.

Thank you for your cooperation and patience during these times.  Please feel free to ask us any questions you may have.  We are all in this together!

Other protocols we have in place:

1.) All patients are contacted 2-3 days prior to their appointments for COVID-19 prescreening.   They are asked the same prescreening questions when they arrive for their appointment.  If we cannot reach them, we leave a voicemail stating we need them to return our call to the office to answer the questions or else we will have to reschedule their appointment.
